Will a 1.5Mbps connection to play games such as World of Warcraft?

My mom is getting rid of cable for whatever reason, and the best DSL we can get is about 1.5Mbps. It’s not that bad I don’t think, but will I have any lag in games such as WoW? Thank you!

Whether or not you will experience lag and such all depends on several factors. Distance from the server (where ping comes in), quality of the connection, quality of the phone line used for the DSL connection, your computer, etc. There is no true answer to this question.

However, you should be alright to play. Of course you won’t receive the same low ping that you would with cable (depending on what Mbps cable service you had; and the connection quality and so on).

How can I download the World of Warcraft cataclysm beta?

I know in order to play you have to have the Beta key but, I just want to download the client so that when i get the beta key im all set and I don’t have to do no downloading and go to straight to playing,

You can’t download the client til you have been invited to test it.

i was wondering when i can actually log in and there will be lava and stuff everywhere AKA cataclysm
o cause i thought it was tommorrow cause almost alll servers are being updated for 24 hours

you actually wont need to buy the expansion to see the lava, because they’re changing the world completely. you’ll see the cataclysm without the expansion, but you wont be able to create characters with the new races or interact with any of the new material added. but it should be coming out in the 4th quarter of this year.

I am not a player of world of warcraft, however, it seems like alot of the people I know who used to play are playing a lot less these days. Some people have even quit the game.

Is WoW’s popularity fading? If so, do you think Age of Conan or Warhammer Online will replace them?

No. There are over 10 million subscribers, that thing makes more money in 1 month than some 3rd world countries’ GDP.

Plus, they are getting ready to release another expansion. WoW will be on top for a long, long time.

A beta is basically an imperfected or unfinished version of a game, expansion, or game patch. When you play a beta, you are helping the creators of the game by finding glitches or errors in the game before it is actually released. Cataclysm isn’t out yet, but the beta is, if you really want to get into the game, then you could try to get into the beta.

Switch around your key bindings for the walk run to what u want. As for best race: Tauren. Best class: Whatever u enjoy playing most.

As for all the fanboys saying to stop playing this game, Shut up, its a good game, i play guild wars and they are on par w/ one another.
