What is the best World of Warcraft class?

I know it all depends on what I like, but I’m a noob, and i want to know, whats good for PvP, whats best race and class combination and why. Please also explain specs. Thanks.
I would say hunter, purely because of the pet. Once you get your pet you’ve effectivly doubled your level because theres two of you.
Druids are good too, Ive seen many a level 25 druid kill a level 30 enemy. Plus they can change into animals.
Rogue are brilliant, Ive just started my first rogue and it really good.You can sneak anround and pick pockets.
Best way to find out which class you like is to try them all to be honest. Thats what I did, but i still prefer hunter =]

alright, umm i havent played WoW for maybe 2 years so im sure stuff has changed. BUT i remember most of the casters were the best. holy priests can be INSANELY good if you master them. But warlocks and mages are pretty good. shamans are also awesome. For specs:
Mage: frost is good for leveling and pvp, but fire is just all DPS
Warlocks: affliction for sure
Shamans: enhancement for sure
Priests: holy (shadow is NOT as good)
basically, every class is good at pvp (apart from paladins because they are very difficult to get the maximum dps out of them)

I would say if your looking for a good pvp class, pick a paladin or rogue.
This is probably way too much information anyone player or person would care to type, so just go ahead and research as much as you can.

If u want to be DPS be blood elf mage because blood elfs(or troll) have the most mana. For tank orc warrior because they have the most strength. For healer blood elf(or undead) priest because they have the most mana

right now pallys and DKs are way OP.
as for race, the differences are very slight.
Its the difference between being able to last longer or being able to kill your opponent faster, can u really say one way is always better?

Well i dont play anymore but i quit about a month after uldaur came out and in the ulduar raids i was an elemental shaman with top dps and top damage out of everyone with worse gear than them and they are fun!

all of the classes are evenly balanced.if you want to be the cheapest class be a rogue hunter or retribution paladin i play a hunter and love it but ive seen rogues stunlock people for atleast 10 seconds and ret pallys are just annoying with bubbles and instant full heals plus massive damage.

Druid are really good for pvp once theyre balance spec’d. Two races can be druids, night elfs and tauren. Tauren have more health starting out and night elfs have more mana starting out so if you’re planning on going balance for pvp you should be a night elf because balance druids are casters

There will never be ONE or TWO classes that are "the best". If you are starting at lvl 1 by the time you hit 80 things get nerfed in patches and classes also get buffs, so, lets say you start a warlock, who if well played and good geared are amazing or a pally, by the time you hit 80 a shadow priest might be the best pvper at the time. My point is, start what you like, every class is fine in pvp if well played, If you want to heal a resto druid or a resto shammy will be the best in pvp though, If you want to be a caster in arena warlocks are good, also ele shammys are good for quick burst damage fast but over all not great, you can pick any caster you like mages are good to. For melee once again, anything is good if well played, i reccomend deathnight if possible otherwise a warrior or rouge, just pick whatever and learn how to play it and you will do fine in PVP

Well,Blizzard themselves have said that the Death Knight is supposed to be SUPERIOR than the other classes,because it’s the first hero class.
