Which world of Warcraft class would win in a huge duel?
By admin | November 23, 2008
Which race and class do you think would win in a huge duel, every man for himself.
People are getting confused into thinking that one particular class could always win, or would generally win. Not so.
In a huge duel, it wouldn’t be a “duel” but a huge brawl. In that case, the class with the most lasting power would probably outlast the rest, and burn down the one remaining enemy.
Chances are, it would be a Druid or Paladin. They have the ability to last a long time under lots of pressure, so unless they are being singled out by multiple targets, their lasting power will allow them to silently watch everyone else die, then take down the one or two remaining enemies who are low on health and likely still fighting each other.
My assumption is that a paladin‘s Cool Down abilities are available, allowing him to use the Divine Shield (invulnerable for 12 seconds) and Lay on Hands (all health returned instantly), combined with his plate armor and ability to heal makes him a long-lasting opponent, though this technique leaves little room for him to deal damage, just sustain damage while allowing others to kill themselves off.
The druid can shapeshift into a bear to take punishment temporarily, then cast heal-over-time spells to constantly mitigate the damage taken. The powerful healing of a Restoration (type) of Druid allows them to withstand a whole lot of damage by healing it with instant healing that continues to heal over time. Combined with snaring abilities to keep the enemy at a distance, they can outlast everyone else while waiting for people to die off.
Then, who wins… the Druid or the Paladin? Depending on how they have spent their talent points, it could be a very LONG battle, especially if a potion is used to regain mana/health. Neither able to dish out too much damage while also being able to withstand a lot means one very long and uninteresting fight.

Orc Hunter. Thats what I am, and they can deal LOTS of damage from long, and short range, (With bow/gun) and have pets. when your training the pets can keep ur enemy distracted while your attacking it. I find it very easy to kill, espicually in PVP with hunters.
In PvP battles, all the hunters seem to get the most kills. I wonder why =0

You are all wrong. Assuming Pre-Wrath of the Lich King, SL/SL (Soul link/Siphon life) warlocks wipe the floor in mass pvp free for all.
No one will target them since they regen health through damage and their pet is taking some of the damage too. As a bonus to these tipes of warlocks they only really use dots and siphon life/mana. that means they can keep running away from you wile your health bar ticks down and down and down.
Now for race… Probably undead, will of the forsaken to get out of snares/fears and they can consume a corpse to regen health for free and fast.

Extensive playing experience. Wife plays a Druid and Hunter, I play a Warlock and Paladin.

Races do absolutely nothing, they are all evened out. And it depends on your personal preference and what you actually know about that certain class. If you play Warlocks the best, play a Warlock. If you play Hunters the best, play a Hunter.

Death Knight, of course. In terms of race, probably human because of the new racial talent “Every Man For Himself” which is basically “Will of the Forsaken” for humans.
