I have a level 80 Drawf hunter and almost the entire Windrunner’s Battle gear (missing the helm). I’m specd for Survival and Beast Mastery. I want to gem up to improve my attack rating, any suggestions?

It has to be free and somewhere i can get online. Please help cause rogues look pretty complicated.

Rogues are very easy to level and you won’t need a leveling guide. Just put your talent points into Combat and use two one-handed swords. Don’t worry about stealth unless you are trying to sneak past something. Just stay visible and go from one mob to the next killing every thing in site.

Daggers are better for the Assassination tree; and that isn’t good until you get Mutilate. Sinister Strike and then keep Slice and Dice going at all times.

Just sold my 3 80 account (druid 6100gs, rogue 5700gs, mage 5950gs) for $1250.
I sold it from person to person though not through a website. The best offer i had from a site was $850.
Its all about the level of gear, amount of gold and how quick you want to sell it i guess.

Well You can make a female character of whatever race and dance around and stuff and people will give you gold for that. Dance around a place with lots of player traffic. But about your guide I don’t know anything about that.

It should take long enough to install for to realize that it is way to addicting and will ruin your life. WoW stole 1 year of mine.

But to answer your question, it will take around 45 minutes to 1 hour to install. And then you will have to download and install quite a few patches that can take anywhere from five minutes to almost 24 hours depending on your internet connection speed.

I guess I can still be considered a newbie to the game, there’s so much to learn and just when I think Ive got a hold on it, new questions pop up. So here a few more from the level 36 hunter:

What are the best strategies for making gold in the game? I once stumbled upon a level 15 with 225g and had to wonder where he got it all. I know that selling in the AH brings in better revenue than just cashing your stuff in to vendors all the time, but its time-consuming and so it deters me away from doing it sometimes. Or am I just doing it wrong? Do you usually look up the lowest price for a particular item in the AH and then try to list lower? Or do most people just throw stuff on at the pre-given staring price and let the bidders handle the rest? Can someone share their typical listing style/strategy?

My second question was about hunters and axes. I was in a dungeon at one point and the group jumped down my throat because I needed on an axe that was supposedly for ‘melee’. I know that hunters are range-focused, but sometimes enemies DO run up on you and you have to use your axe. So why am I more undeserving for a stronger axe when I need the upgrade and can actually use it, melee or not? I gave it to the pally though, but would I have been such a jerk if I kept it? I won it fair and square. I just want to know who is right in that instance, and when to tell when Ive stumbled on a ‘hunter’ axe and a ‘melee’ axe.

One more question I had was the spending of talent points. Ive used about 90% of my talent points under my beast-mastery tree. Was that smart? Is it normal to spend a majority of your points in one tree and specialize in it, or should I go for equal distribution?

The best way to get gold in WoW is to use the AH all the time when you know what items are useful. Following this idea, you should drop whatever professions you have and take up skinning and either mining or herbalism. Make sure you level them both, so you can gather the materials in whatever area you’re leveling, and you should have tons of gold. At low levels, crafting professions don’t make you any money, and they cost too much to be worth it. If you get gold now, you can always just buy items to powerlevel a crafting profession at 80.

About the weapons… it doesn’t matter. You’re leveling, need anything that’s an upgrade. At 80 though, it’s considered bad form for a hunter to need on a melee weapon over a character that focuses on melee, just like it’s considered impolite for a warrior/rogue to need on a bow/gun that a hunter needs. This is because, at 80, a hunter essentially never melees, so a melee weapon doesn’t really contribute much damage to you. You don’t have to worry about that for a long time though, so just need anything that’s an upgrade.

Last, most people focus primarily on one tree. BM is probably the best tree to spec into for leveling, I would suggest going for something like this. You’ll want to respec at 80 for pve or pvp, depending on what you focus on.
