What effect would it have to WOW if Blizzard made it possible to buy in-game gold from them?
By admin | January 31, 2010
I’m curious to know what the pro’s and con’s would be in this was done, other developers have a similar micro-purchasing model (runescape) but what would happen if you could ‘offically’ buy gold in WOW?
You can not offically buy gold in wow, but you can find a legit place to buy gold.
I don’t know if you can understand my point of view.
PS
I bought 3,000 Gold at this website.
How do I get gold in World of Warcraft?

inflation mostly. like that 1k sword you got will be 10k, that 4mil armor will be 40mil, and so on.

I think it would hurt Blizzard’s overall profit. Aside from people quitting the game in protest people wouldn’t have to spend time farming gold which means less people are likely going to renew subscriptions month after month. The thing that keeps people playing WoW is that there’s always something just out of reach and you just have to do "one more quest". For players that will never step foot in a raid, and there’s a lot of them, they basically hit their gearing wall once they get what they can from heroics and the AH and after that there’s nothing for them.
Pros?
Noobs get an easier game made even easier.
Cons?
Less experienced players. Gold currently = time invested in the game.
