World of Warcraft: Guide me through this!?
By admin | November 21, 2008
I’m a big fan of MMO’s but somehow I never got into WoW, and since the new expansion has come out, it has made me think about starting.
Anyone have any advice as to whether or not it’s worthwhile playing it?
I do tend to get very hooked on games, and I know that if I enjoy it, I’ll get hooked also.. but I figured that this is the best game to get hooked on if any.
Also, could you please give me some idea of which expansions to buy.. I think buying them all is the best option, so I can have access to everything, but I was wondering about Special Editions or Bundle Packs, etc..
Just wanting some friendly advice!
Thanks
Hiya,
WoW is definitley a worthwhile play. The only danger is that its to good, its very addictive. Since buying WoW a little over a year ago my other platforms (xbox 360, ps3, etc) get very little usage.
I recommend just buying the main game until you get a character to level 58, then purchase “The burning Crusade” expansion, as you cant use the expansion until then. Level 1-58 will take you approx 2-3mths depending on how much time you put in. If you hardly sleep, knew what you were doing and play 10-15hrs a day you could do it a week.
Then purchase the “Wrath of the Lich King” expansion when you get a character to 70 for the same reasons.
As for the Special Editions, they general only get you in game companion pets which do nothing other than follow you around, they are cool but not nesessary.
If you dont mind getting addicted to it, or what to spend your game time playing a game that is truely epic buy this.
cheers, hope that helps.

If you have a problem getting Hooked on games, WoW would be the worst, or maybe the best to play, depending on wether or not you want to be hooked or not. If you want to get somewhat of an idea of the game I recomend downloading the game Shaiya for free off the internet.
I personaly have a lvl 50, 32, 25, and 16.
For expansions, I would go with the burning crusades, you get I think one extra charactor to choose from, and more lands to visit.
But honestly, WoW costs 15 a month, so just give Shaiya a try and let me know how it works out for ya’s

WoW is a very addictive game, its that way becuase there is so much to do. i would start it if you like that sort of game.
i would get all 3 parts to the game. there is a battlechest for the original game and the burning crusade, but there is not one that includes Wrath yet. i would still get all 3 so that you can level past 60. we are now going up to 80.
enjoy
