In WoW at what point does leveling a priest stop sucking?
By admin | June 19, 2009
No demon to protect you, cloth armor, and channeled attacks. This is the most painful character grind I have experienced. At what point does the pain stop and the fun start?
I believe when you get spirit tap maxed and a wand, that should cover about everything. Just get the best wand for your level and wand mobs down like nothing. Shadowform is generally the breaking point where preists get better. Preists are not often leveled because of the grind, you should still however do it since they can still be used in raids and such.
Email me for anymore questions.

The fun starts at level 20 when u get Holy Fire, Holy Nova and Devouring Plague.

Holy nova is a terrible mana sink. With talent points spent properly, leveling a priest is a breeze. You get mind flay at level 21 and that really is the clincher, considering its slowing ability. But between your ability to shield yourself, multiple DOTs, and fear, running through mobs should not be a problem. Don't try to level holy or disc as you'll have to drink after every other kill. Making friends with a mage who will make you water makes things a lot less stressful also.

When you have enough talent points to get shadowform. That's the trully all the fun begins.

It doesn't suck to level them, if you learn to use your attacks accordingly, and use that wand. Its just timing and learning your character's limits.
I don't mind giving you my trees, if you'd like, you may message me for them.

I leveled Holy, and I much preferred it to shadow. I found that holy was much more mana efficient, and I had more than one direct damage spell that wasn’t on cool down (lolmindblast)
it really comes down to personal play styles.
