is there any profession you can make money with by buying materials at auction house in wow?

By admin | June 22, 2009

i am looking for a profession that will make me money but i cant find any that actually profit me after i spent so much money on the materials at the auction house! please help (need profession that has cheap materials and high priced outcome) TY FOR HELP!!!!!!!!!

Your best professions to be to make money in the Auction House is either Miner and Skinner. Other professions like the enchanter can do good, but only at higher levels where the disenchanted materials are most costly because they come from higher end magic items. So if you aren't too worried about disenchanting a decent magic item that can pay off in the end as well.

Herbalist is much like the enchanter except the lower end herbs are easy to acquire than disenchanting magical items. Again, the market fluctuates on herbs. Some can be extreme money makers and others can be a waste of time and auction house coin.

Another profession that can bring in booku gold is the inscriptionist. BUT… and it's a big one, enchanting goes hand in hand with this one. So unless you plan on making one character who is strictly an herbalist to support the inscriptionist, it alone won't bring in the money compared to an inscriptionist who can enchant scrolls.

So in the end, mining and skinning is your biggest money makers.

Good luck!

There'four real ways to profit from professions/the AH.

The first way isn't as much a money-maker as a money-saver; using the right gathering profession will save you money by not having to buy (as many) reagants for recipes; for example, skinning with leatherworking.

Second, you can sell the materials from gathering professions to profit from those that don't want to take the time to gather them on their own. Any gathering profession is good for this

Third, you can try to make some money off twink items; find what they use and get the patterns and craft the items for them. They tend to net decent money for the particular level.

Finally, the best option- get professions (and character) to max level. With the constant influx of 80s, there's several good bind-on-equip items that each profession can sell. Dalaran patterns that require trade-ins (like the arctic fur patterns for LW, dream shards for enchanting, the jewelry tokens, etc) are particularly good for this.

Because there's so many different classes, etc., you'll do fine with any professions. The gathering professions are generally pointed to for the most money, but there's stuff that will sell no matter what profesions you have.
