if your parents are paying for the game card, tell them to cancel it.

Find out how he pays for it and try to stop it. I was addicted but I ran out of cash. Don't Belize what that Will dude said. When I used to be extremly addicted to it everything went wrong. Such as my grades slipped down but I was enjoying myself

lol funny. My nephew is addicted as well. You just gotta let them get tired of it. It will happen eventually. Now, if it is controlling his life and making him act like a zombie you may want to take further action. lol

Maybe he doesn't think he has an addiction (maybe he doesn't) and your just really annoying. No offense, but WoW has a bad reputation for compulsive gamers and it makes a lot of people think playing WoW at all is bad. If he isn't missing school/work/homework/general exercise it isn't bad. I have friends that said I was addicted to WoW because I play almost every night, but when I compared my WoW time to their TV/xbox360 time I spend way less. I don't watch TV other than the occasional movie and WoW is my only video game.

If you really think that it's negatively affecting his life, tell your parents and if they agree they will do something about it.

One thing to ask yourself is whether or not it is interfering with his life?

If so, he may have a problem. You can do a number of things:

    1. Ask your parents to activate the parental controls at http://www.worldofwarcraft.com. They can set up a play schedule for him which will allow the game to be played for only a certain number of hours per week.
    2. Offer an alternative! If he is playing too much it is because the game is fulfilling a need for him. Provide an alternative by spending time with him. What activities did he enjoy before he started playing WOW? Ask him to do those things with you. Or try something new..ask him to go to the gym with you to work of that belly that he has gotten since he started playing.

Good luck with your brother and I hope this helps!

There is no real way to stop a WoW Addiction. The answer lies within the addict.
