How do you use macros on World of Warcraft?
By admin | November 8, 2009
<< World of Warcraft (WoW) TCG Dark Portal #246 Stitches Epic World of Warcraft: Cataclysm release date.? >>
Does anybody have a website or detailed instructions for setting up macros on world of warcraft? I don’t have any and I hear they really make some things quicker and easier. However, I am not that skilled on the computer so I would need detailed instructions.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Type /gquit in game and it will take you to the macro menu. It will tell you everything you need to know there.

no don’t type /gquit -_- that’s such a lame answer…
type /macro and that will bring up the macro screen. To make a macro, you have you figure out what you want the macro to do. I’ll give an example of an easy macro to do.
bring up the macro window, and click New. Give your macro a name and an icon. In the field window is when you type macro commands. So if your macro has
/tar (mob name)
Finish making the macro and then drag the macro icon into your action bar. Depending on what mob name you typed, you can click that macro button icon and it will target that mob name.
That’s just a very simple macro but there are tons of different macros you can make if you know the code.
You can cast a spell using macro. Type /cast (spell) to get the spell, open your spell book and shift click the spell. For example
/tar (main tank’s name)
/cast healing touch (rank 11)
if you click that macro, it will target the main tank in your raid and attempt to heal him.
Hope that helps

Go to the little laptop icon that you go to to log out. Up near the top there is a "Macro" option. Click that to make a macro. To crete a macro is easy. You choose an icon, name it (such as "Guild" or "Those annoying pictures people make" etc.) and type what you want it to say. Put it on your action bar, type /(whatever chat) and click it on the action bar. If you wants to do a ready-set, in game macro, such as "Priest slaps Mage in the face", etc, type /(whatever action). If your action doesn’t work, type /me then customize your own bye typing in what you want to do. Hope that answered your question!
