Is it ok to collect unemployment until it runs out so that you can stay home and play World of Warcraft?
By admin | May 30, 2009
Is it ok to milk unemployment dry to play WOW everyday, instead of job hunting? What if you are a healer and your guild needs you?
dude…step. away. from. the. computer. Now…go outside…take a deep breath of fresh air…and go get your lazy ass a job.
(Tell your guild you might have to take a break for awhile…im pretty sure the world of warcraft will be waiting for you when you get back…if they respect you they wont replace you….if you have a girlfriend/boyfriend…they probably hate you because you are obsessed.)

From what i hear, most people are milking it dry while having a job that pays under the table… This way you can play WoW and still have pocket cash

Well, if it makes you happy. But by asking here you obviously either want attention or have serious doubts

If you don't find a job before unemployment runs out, you'll end up unable to pay the bills (internet, etc… .or even rent) to keep playing. Yout guild may "need" you, but you can't do them a lot of good if you can't connect or pay for your subscription.
As someone who's been on disability for 5 ears.. it's not the vacation it sounds like it'd be, especially when bills keep coming in month to month.

Yes, just don't tell them that that's what you are doing or they will stop you from collecting EI. (they call it EI here
) Until the economy gets better I see no reason to go out to look for a job unless I can get one working online.

Well….ethically…it's wrong…But…with the economy the way it is…and folks with 10+ years of experience in their respective fields not even able to get an interview right now…I say…why not!
We might as well get what little enjoyment we can out of this crazy world we're living in right now! so go for it! Have fun….but always keep enough cash to pay for WOW..beer…and a little food! LOL
Have fun!!

I am a serious WoWer, and in this case, no. First, get a job. Then you can play WoW. WoW is for recreation purposes, and even if you're a desperately needed healer, the guild will have to wait until you get back on your feet. Go job hunting, and just aget a stable paycheck. until then, stop milking taxpayers to play. Even if you do play instead of getting a job, what haoppebns when your unemployment check runs out? Then you'll have no job, no WoW, and no way to pay for your next meal.

can't you do both? I just quit (was too addicted) before the economy went all to hell and now I don't have much to do around the house. So send out your resumes and play wow. if you get a job and don't want it (you'd be a fool) you can always f*k up the interview.
