What's the best race/class combo for World of Warcraft?
By admin | May 18, 2009
Limiting to the Alliance, which race and class do you prefer?
I recommend Human-Warlock or Paladin

Depends what you wanna play as. Mage go as Gnome, Warrior go as Dwarf Human.
The Race really has no effect at all besides the Race extra advantage which does not effect very much on your combo.
Just pick what you want to be, and your favorite race.
Alliance suck tho.

Draenei are your only choice if you want to play a Shaman. Their abilities really could be useful to any class though the seem to shine more towards the front line as Warriors and Paladins.
Dwarves seem to make excellent Hunters, Paladins, and Warriors due to their Boost in Strength and Stamina, weapon specializations, and Ironform ability.
Gnomes make excellent Mages and Warlocks due to their increased Intelligence, that unlike most racial stats, is a factor throughout the game. They also make goo rogues, due to their high Dex and short height.
While humans are another race that have abilities that can be useful fro many classes they are heavily outshined by Gnomes in the Warlock and Mage classes. Dwarves seem to be better warriors, and Draenei much better Paladins. No classes really seem overwhelming the best for humans but they make very good priests, warriors and paladins.
Night elves are your only choice if you want to play a druid. They also make exceptional hunters and rogues, due to high agility and stealth based abilities.
If I was to choose one race per class I'd say:
Druid: Night Elf (only option)
Hunter: Night Elf
Mage: Gnome
Paladin: Dwarf
Priest: Human
Rogue: Night Elf
Shaman: Draenei (Only Option)
Warlock: Gnome
Warrior: Dwarf

human- paladin, warrior, warlock
humans have racials such as perception and a really important one "every man for himself"-removes any movement impairing effects, its like a trinket.
dwarf- paladin, warrior
dwarves get stoneform-removes all bleed effects and posions and such.
gnomes-mage , warlock, rogue
(personally i hate gnomes) gnomes get the racial escape artist-self explanatory.
draenei-shaman
racial is gift of the naaru- its a h.o.t and the bonus to hit rating.
night elf- rogue, hunter, and druid
night elves have the best racial in the game imo. shadowmeld, quickness, bonus to agil and such. they can make the best ally rogues
btw, i prefer the horde
i do play alliance also but horde is my choice.
for the horde!

Well Dwarfs have the highest strength so they could be used as a Warrior but can also be used as Hunters because they have a 1% extra critical hit chance with guns then the other class
Humans have a decent spirit so they can be priests and pallys
Gnomes have increased intellect (mana) so their domain classes are mage and warlock
Nighelfs by default should be a druid cause they are the only class on alliance that can be a druid and they should also be rouges because of increased speed and agility
Dranei is use full for all types because it provides an extra 1% to hit for all classes
So here it is
Human- Priest Paladin (not sure if i spelled it right)
Dwarf- Warriar Hunter
Night Elf- Rouge Druid (and hunters forgot sorry)
Gnome- Mage Warlock
Dranei- all
and of course the new class Death Knight (DK) can be used for all classes so pick your favorite for that one
Hope i helped

i personally play a night elf preist but heres wat i think are good classes for races (inluding horde)
Human – Warlock/Paladin
Dwarf – Warrior/Hunter/Preist
Night Elf – Druid/Hunter/Preist
Gnome – Rouge/Warlock
Dranei – Warrior/Paladin/Shaman/Mage
Orc – Warrior/Hunter/Rouge
Undead – Preist/Rouge/Warlock
Tauren – Warrior/Shaman
Troll – Preist/Hunter/Rouge
Blood elf – Paladin/Rouge/Hunter

Humans-have that spirit bonus, which makes them useful priests. But other then that, they are decent other classes
Dwarves-Great warriors, paladins, and hunters. But they are good at being priests and rogues with the right skill
Night Elves-A lot of people say hunter is the best class for this race. I would say rogue because they have high agility. Priests would be a good second pick.
Gnomes-The better spellcasters in the game thanks to their racial of increased intellect. Rogues are good because they are small and agile. Unless you plan on being one of those rogue-like DPS warriors, then I would avoid picking this race as a warrior.
Draenei-Good overall at everything in my opinion…
Orc-Great warriors, shamans, warlocks, and hunters. Requires skill to be an orc rogue.
Undead-One of the best PvP races. Superb warlocks, priests, and mages. Good Rogues. Requires skill to be an undead warrior
Tauren-Best warriors thanks to increased health and war stomp racials and best druid race. Great shamans. Good hunters.
Troll-Great hunters and shamans, good priests and mages. Requires skill to be a troll warrior
Blood Elf-”The Spellcasters”. Great priests, mages, and warlocks. Good paladins. Requires skill to be a blood elf paladin or rogue.
The humans may have the most long-term benefits because of diplomacy which gives them the boosted rep gain. Hunters are good for sololing in PvE. Warriors, druids, priests, and shamans are some of the most sought after classes for any groups or raids.
Also, most race/class combos dont matter after your character is in it’s mid 20s. The attributs start to equal out among every class. You should just choose the race that you like and can look at for weeks to come and still wanna play. Do not make the mistake of getting a character to level 80 and hate it.You should play the way you want too.

Paldins,either human or blood elf

I would say go Blood Elf female, cause they have the best looking rack and are thin and hot. I usually fap to my Blood Elf Warrior when I get online.
For the Horde!

What I have found to be the best for each class (Played everyone to 85)
ALLIANCE:
Humans: Best healing priests because of spirit boost. Make for decent paladins, and great choices for PvP because of thier racial, “Every man for himself”, which removes movement impairing effects.
Dwarves: Best Alliance warriors and Paladins imo. Boosts to Stength and Stamina, plus their racial “Stoneform” PLUS stamina boosts which come with mining (Which EVERY Dwarf should have) make them good tanks and DPSers. 2nd best hunters for Alliance. Make for decent Shamans.
Night Elves: ROGUES. Boosts to Agility, speed while stealthed, resistance to nature damage, Shadowmeld, AND they look badass. My favorite race hands down. Also make for best cat Druids, and best Alliance hunters imo.
Gnomes: Best for magic classes. Mage and Warlock Gnomes DOMINATE. The intellect boost helps with the mana pool, and slightly increased damage also. Decent rogues because of a small boost to agility, and thier small size can make them harder to see when stealthed.
Draenei: Best Alliance shamans (Since dwarves have no magic boosts). Make for a decent soloing experience if going for a non healing class because of thier racial “Gift of the Naaru”, a decent healing spell. Decent hunters, warriors, priests and mages. Make for better than average paladins.
Worgens: Decent everything. Thier racial “Darkflight” is basically just a flight tactic, and a crappy one at that. Thier ability in skinning is quite helpful however.
HORDE:
Orcs: Best DPS Warriors. Bonus to axed weapons is a good bonus, they’re pretty bulky, have a higher than average strength, and thier beserk racial increases damage by suprisingly a lot.. Better than average hunters, as they get a pet damage boost. Avoid magic classes, as they have lower intellect and have no abilities skewed toward that side of the fence.
Undead: Best PvP classes imo. The Cannabilism racial is amazing, which gives their mages and Warlocks (Their best classes imo) a way to heal themselves, not only in health, but also in mana, quite easily and constantly. Good for survivalists. This also helps when soloing, but doesn’t exactly help too much in Dungeons. Playing a warrior takes some skill to do well.
Taurens: Best Warrior, DK, Druid, and now Paladin tanks, hands down. The increased health boost is incredible, and their “War Stomp” can stun several enemies at one time. Decent everything else. The health boost can help when taming, but their agility suffers.
Trolls: Best Horde hunters and rogues, but placing 2nd in both those classes behind Night Elves. Their racial lowers the time caught in Movement impairing effects, and helps moderalty. Good Agility, and the bonus to bows is nice. Good cat Druids, and decent Enhancement Shamans, but make for EXCELLENT Resto’s in either class.
Blood Elves: Decent in all classes. Thier best is probably mages or rogues, and they have decent hunters, but other than that, they’re just meh. AoE silence is nice, and the boost to Enchantment is also. Their resource recovery ability is alright, doesn’t do much, but is good in a pinch.
Goblins: Above average in all classes. Their rocket belt racials are cool, and the mobile bank and vendor price reduction is nice. Other than that, its whatever you want, as their is no stand out class for them.
Hope this helped
