WoW question, can i create an account with the code on the wotlk expansion?
By admin | December 2, 2009
I already have the expansion Wrath of the Lich King installed on my computer, but i don’t have an account. I have a trial account and i want to upgrade it to a normal account. Can i just buy the wotlk expansion and upgrade my account with that or do i need to buy the normal game?
If you want to upgrade a trial account to a normal one, first, you need to buy a CD Key and the expansion of TBC, without CD KEY and TBC(The Burning Crusade Expansion), your WLK expansion won’t work.

you need to buy the normal game, burning crusade and wrath of the lich king
buy this all from blizzard will cost you about $78
original wow – $18
burning crusade – $20
lich king – $40

You need to have the first game installed, then burning crusade for WotLK to activate. And i dont know about where you are, but i know in alberta, canada its cheaper to go to future shop or walmart and buy the original+BC pack (30 bucks ish) and lich king (30 bucks ish) than it is to buy from blizz

Printed on the back of the WOTLK box: Requires full versions of World of Warcraft and The Burning Crusade to play.
Besides, BC contains the lvl 60-70 content. It would be silly to think you could skip it entirely and go to Howling Fjord at 60 and attempt to kill anything there by yourself.
